Hurricane Harvey has been ripping through Texas causing mass devastation to everything in its path, especially the country’s fourth largest city, Houston. The constant storms from Harvey have created terrifying floods that have turned the city into an inhabitable, danger zone. Streets are now rivers, roofs of houses are just poking above the water, and many people have become trapped. The Coast Guard has been rescuing people who could not evacuate before the floods, and some brave residents from surrounding areas have taken the initiative to load up in their own boats and travel to Houston to try to save their fellow Texans. It is inspiring to see so many people coming together to help Houston in their state of emergency. People across the country are all finding their own way to lend support.
